Berry Good

I love Spring in Detroit it’s not too hot, not to cold. This is the time when I can take my work out routine outside on the River Walk instead of in the gym. This is also the time when I think of lighter things to eat like watermelon, raspberries, grapes, salads, and of course barbeque. One of my favorite Spring desserts is strawberry shortcake, so here is my protein packed version of this classic.

Healthy Recipe #4

Protein Shortcake (Makes 2 servings)

1 container of Dannon Light and Fit Strawberry Greek Yogurt

¼ cup Blueberries

¾ cup Sliced Strawberries

2 dessert shells

  1. Wash and dry the blueberries and strawberries; set to the side.
  2. Place one dessert shell on a plate or in a bowl.
  3. After mixing the Dannon Light and Fit Strawberry Greek Yogurt place three spoonfuls in the center of the dessert shell.
  4. Using half of the blueberries and strawberries place them randomly on top of Yogurt.
  5. Enjoy!
