A daughter is driving down the highway with her Father on a road trip. Halfway to their destination it starts to get cloudy. The more they drive the darker it gets and it starts to rain. The daughter noticed on the side of the road that a car had stopped under the over pass, but she didn’t think anything of it. A few miles down the road the rain got worse and a few more cars had stopped on the side of the road. The daughter started to get worried and she turned to her Father and asked, “Should I pull over?” Her Father replied, “No keep going.”
A few more miles down the road it’s thundering and lightening and she is really afraid when she sees semi-trucks on the side of the road waiting out the storm. She again turns to her Father and asks, “Should we pull over and wait out the storm like the other cars and trucks?” Her Father replied, “No keep going.”
A few more miles down the road it is the darkest it has been, the thundering is shaking the car, the lightening is brighter than her headlights, and it is raining so hard she can’t see the car in front of her. She proclaims to her Father, “I am pulling over this is too much!” Her Father replied, “No keep going.”
Even though she was afraid she listened to her Father and kept going. Terrified she pressed on a mile through this terrible storm, then instantly the rain was over and the sun was out. A half mile down, her Father told her to pull over. Puzzled, she pulled over. Her Father said, “Look behind you”, so she did. When she turned around she saw how dark it was and what a bad storm it was that she had just come out of. Her Father then said, “Aren’t you glad you listened to me, if you would have stopped you would still be in the storm like those people on the side of the road waiting for the storm to pass.”
You see, sometimes we are sitting on the sidelines waiting for the storm to pass, not realizing if we press on just a little bit further we will be out of the storm. Your Heavenly Father will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV). He is not a man that He should lie (Numbers 23:19 KJV). In this storm and the next one to come He will be right there, going through it with you.

that’s a beautiful msg! thanks for sharing the beautiful story with the world!
