What is a Master Cleanse?

Master-Cleanse

Ok, so I am still on my weight loss journey. Currently my weight is hovering around 230-240 and I needed something to get me back on track.

A couple of my friends suggested I do this thing called a master cleanse; you may have heard of it as the lemonade diet. I had never heard of this in my life. Of course I have heard of detox diets that jump start your weight loss, but I have always been skeptical.

How am I going to sustain myself on just liquids for 10 days?

This is where the research comes in. I Googled “Master Cleanse” and the first thing that comes up is “How to do the Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet. This site gives you a step by step guide on what to do to prepare for the diet, as well as what to do afterwards.

After reading through this information I decided to try it and take a few of my friends along with me.  This is what we decided to do. Instead of doing the lemonade portion on the diet for 10 days we agreed on 5 days. We weigh ourselves at the start of the diet and weigh ourselves again at the end of the process.

I then decided to treat this like a review. Every day I will let you know how things are going, what went wrong, and what I had to change, if any.

Feel free to join us, it’s more fun to do this with a group.

There is a recipe on the site for how to prepare the lemonade. As for myself, I am not going to order the kit from the site, I will just buy the items separately; but that is strictly up to you.

Ok, LET’S GO!

Day 1:

Weight: 240

Master Cleanse Preparation: Eliminate Unhealthy Foods

On the first day of easing in, begin to develop more awareness about the foods you choose and notice which are fresh and raw. Begin to focus on these types of food and eliminate all processed foods, meat, dairy, alcohol, caffeine and sugar. Try to choose organic whole foods as much as possible.

If you have done the Lemonade Diet before and you have any suggestions please comment below.

If you are joining us on this journey, let me know how you’re doing.
